Saturn Pictures
The identity of an upcoming short film catalogue: Saturn glimpsed through a window, a night gradient melting into dawn, and a full kit, from logo to business card.

The project
A short film catalogue, still in orbit.
Saturn Pictures is an upcoming short film catalogue site. Before the first line of code, it needed an identity: a name that looks up at the sky, a planet for an emblem and a promise as its heading, 'Launching Stories Beyond the Screen'.
On the menu: the logo and its variations, the palette, the typefaces, Instagram story backgrounds, highlight pictograms and a business card prototype. Enough to launch the brand before launching the site.

The logo
Saturn, seen from the porthole.
The primary version frames Saturn inside an arched window, a few stars around it and the brand name below: the planet as you would dream it from a ship, a cinema screen turned toward space.
Around that motif, the variations: the planet alone with its stars, the gradient wordmark, and a miniature version for small formats. One orbit, four ways to travel it.

The explorations
Black and white first.
Before color, form. The directions are drawn in black and white: a full frame Saturn whose ring overflows the square, the name wrapped around the planet like a typographic ring, the starred window. If a logo holds in a single ink, it will hold anywhere.
Palette
Typography

The signature gradient, from night to dawn: the sky just before the screening.
The social media
Backgrounds ready to carry stories.
For Instagram, a kit of story backgrounds bends the gradient every which way: night to dawn, dawn to night, a light watermark version and a deep night solid. Backed by highlight pictograms to sort trailers, releases and behind the scenes.

Five highlight pictograms, dipped in the same gradient.
The business card
The orbit fits in a pocket too.
The card prototype plays on contrast: a full gradient front, watermarked planet and the promise at the bottom, then a white, understated back with the wordmark, the contact details and a QR code in the brand colors.
