Miruma · Terms of Use
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Welcome
Miruma is a general-knowledge app published by Juunon (“we”, “us”). By installing or using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Miruma offers
Topics to read, linked by questions. Each link says why two topics belong together, and whether the connection is established, debated or legend. You can keep topics in your collection, keep your streak going and test yourself with the quiz.
Content written with AI
Miruma's topics are written with the help of artificial intelligence, and some are written on the fly, the first time someone opens them. Guardrails frame them: every link must say why, and whenever it isn't established, a caveat spells out what is disputed. They can still contain mistakes.
Miruma feeds curiosity. It is not an academic source, nor medical, legal or financial advice. Before relying on a piece of information for a decision that matters, check it against reference sources. And if you spot a mistake, “Report a mistake”, at the bottom of every topic, helps us fix it.
Free, and Miruma Plus
Miruma is free, with a daily limit on the questions you can follow (energy), which refills at midnight. Miruma Plus, a subscription, lifts that limit and unlocks the features shown in the app at the time of purchase. Both the free offer and Miruma Plus may change over time.
Subscriptions
Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that date, at the price of the plan you chose.
You manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country. Refunds, and the right of withdrawal where it applies, are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
Your use of Miruma
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Miruma on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use.
You agree not to decompile the app, access the service by automated means, get around its limits (for example by faking your installation ID), or use it in any unlawful or harmful way. Reports are for fixing topics: no abusive language, no personal information.
Intellectual property
Miruma, its name, mascot, illustrations, design, code and content belong to Juunon or its partners and are protected by intellectual property law. You may quote short excerpts from a topic, as long as you mention Miruma.
Photos from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons remain under their own licenses, and their authors are credited with each image.
Availability
We do our best to keep Miruma running smoothly, but the service may be interrupted or changed. Topics may be corrected, rewritten or removed. The ones you've already opened stay readable offline on your phone.
Liability
Miruma is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the app or its content, or from what you do with information found in it.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity.
App Store and Google Play
If you installed Miruma from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, on top of these terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms: they are not responsible for Miruma, its content or its support. Their own terms govern your account and your purchases.
Termination
You can stop using Miruma at any time by deleting the app (remember to cancel your subscription from your store). We may suspend access to the service in case of a serious breach of these terms.
Personal data
What Miruma does with your data is described in its privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If there's a disagreement, write to us first: most things get sorted out by email. Failing that, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version; for a significant change, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Miruma after an update means you accept the new terms.
