Miruma · Support

A question, a glitch, a mistake spotted in a topic? Here's how to reach us, and how to sort out the most common things yourself.

Get in touch

We read every message. Tell us which phone you're on: it helps us help you faster.

Topics

You spotted a mistake

Tap “Report a mistake” at the bottom of any topic: pick what's wrong, add a note if you like, and send. Every report is read by a human. If a mistake really matters to you, write to us as well.

Established, debated, legend: what do they mean?

Every link between two topics has a status. Established: sources agree. Debated: the link is disputed, and a caveat says by whom and why. Legend: a story often told that doesn't hold up, and the caveat explains why.

A topic takes a few seconds to appear

You may be its very first reader: it's being written for you, live, with the help of artificial intelligence. That takes a few seconds, only once. If the writing fails, your question is refunded.

Energy and Miruma Plus

Out of energy for today

Following a question to a new topic costs one question of energy. You get a few each day, and they come back at midnight. Rereading a topic, opening the ones on your home screen or taking the quiz costs nothing. With Miruma Plus, energy is unlimited.

Manage or cancel Miruma Plus

Your subscription is managed by your store. On iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and pick Miruma. On Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.

Restore a purchase

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you bought with, open Miruma's Settings, tap Miruma Plus, then “Restore”. Your subscription is tied to that account.

Refunds

Payments go through Apple and Google, so refunds are requested from them: at reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or in your Google Play order history. Write to us if you need a hand.

The app

Reminders

A quick note at noon, and in the evening when your streak is on the line, never after 10:30 pm. The longer you're away, the less they insist. Turn them off in Settings, under Notifications. They're local notifications: no server sends them.

Change the language

Miruma speaks English and French: Settings, under Language. Topics aren't translated: each language has its own, along with your history, bookmarks and graph.

Switching phones

Miruma has no accounts: your collection, streak and graph live on your phone. A device backup (iCloud, Google) may bring them back; otherwise they don't follow you. Your subscription, though, can be restored (see above).

Your data

No account, no ads, no tracking. Deleting the app erases everything it kept on your phone. The details are in the privacy policy.
